Self care isn’t just for the birds

“I’m so exhausted.”

“I can’t remember the last time I treated myself.”

“I’m way too busy to take care of myself!”

“I wouldn’t have time for that if I tried.”

Have you said or thought any of these things lately?

You can’t pour from a cup that isn’t full, my friends. I’ve made it a part of my regular self-care routine to get my nails done. Does anyone actually give a care that this work from home stay at home girl has pretty nails?!?! HA! I do!!! And that’s all that really matters when it comes to these little things we do to get OUR cups filled.

There’s something HUGE to be said for putting yourself together (CLOTHES! MAKEUP! HUMANITY! lol) in the morning and having at least a couple things in your repertoire that make you feel beautiful and confident. Getting my nails done is one of those things for me! I only have to do it every 2-3 weeks and it looks amazing the whole time. It feels like a life hack ….ESPECIALLY when this happens. Hear me out….

I recently heard a rumor that the Devil’s Glen Hy-Vee just down the street was opening a “W Nail Bar.”  I was super pumped so I popped over to their website to check it out. Not only did I find a gorgeous website but I found out it’s founded and run by two BA boss babes and it’s a natural nail bar focused on convenience (hello grocery pickup while I get my toes painted!!) and high end spa services that I have only gotten to experience on vacations! I emailed them right away and set my appointments (because for me, convenience MATTERS).

My hands and feet get super dry so I booked the “Dew effect” gel pedi and a get mani with fancy art because I was feeling fancy. Whoa...it did not disappoint.

I will say it took a hot minute to get my old gel polish removed since it’s a “natural nail bar” (no drills so healthier for your nails) so do plan a little extra time if you have to do that. It was SO nice to relax and chat with the amazing nail artists (shout out to Katy and Liz!!!). They even brought me a complimentary Starbucks Frappucino! Score!

Not only was the finished product gorgeous, but it was supper clean and you guys know I love supporting a small business that is creating a high end (and natural!) experience right down the street.

I still can hardly get over the fact that it felt like I was at the Spa...not in Hy-Vee where I could step out of my pedicure and grab Chinese for my lunch and groceries for dinner on my way out! It was the perfect mom’s day out!

They shared with me that they have a Mommy + Me pedi they do and I’m so excited to take AB with me next time! (We try to do a date with each kid every month or two and she will feel so special! I also know the technicians will take as good of care of her as they did me!)

I would love it if you guys checked it out...and I got you a code for 15% off of ALL products and services as they build up a clientele in Bettendorf. Grab your girlfriends/mom/daughter and share the love!!

Just mention the code: Olivia15 when you book and you’ll get 15% off of ALL products and services! Fill up that cup, mama. It’s almost Mother’s day too!! (wink, wink!!)

Happy Day…it can be a happy day today, friends! <3 Love you!!!

This experience was sponsored by Hyvee and The W Nail bar but my opinions are entirely my own and I would never promote something I wouldn’t actually recommend to a bestie. Doing sponsored posts is a way for my loves and passions to financially bless our family, so it’s a win win that I got a coupon for YOU today! Blessings friends!!!!
